Dear Mr. McDonough, I have been following your cb site for quite some time. I love reading your journal entries. You and your family are an inspiration to so many people, and I have the utmost respect for you. This is a tough subject. I wonder if you could ever write about how you feel about parent alienation......even during a time when a child is suffering with cancer. Keep in mind, I am speaking about alienation for no valid reason. I am not asking about anything legally, just your thoughts about this subject.....from a moral standpoint. As hard as it can be at times, still trying to live like Andrew and B+. God Bless You.

Life can be so strange - I always had "Be Positive" as my motto (My blood type also!). I have 4 children and consider myself so lucky. I constantly tell my kids to look at the positive. I have lost my father to cancer and a real good friend just passed away from cancer. I always said if life is getting you down just look around. I am very fortunate that my kids are healthy - I try to always keep a positive attitude and was really moved by what I learned from your site. I am cancelling my guitar lessons and donating monthly to your foundation. As your family has learned you just never know. My heart goes out to your whole family - keep smiling with all the great memories of Andrew! Take care of each other. A new friend from NH, Bob

Joe, Chris and Ali, I just read today's message from Joe. Just a note to say you continue to be in my daily prayers, along with brother-in-law Dan. Oh, and I still wear my B+ shirt inside out so that Andrew is close to my heart! Love to all of you, Connie Sweeney Widener Law School

McDonough Family - I'm crying my eyes out after reading your postings from the 14th. I still think of Andrew everyday, even though I never met him. I love seeing people with B+ shirts and stickers on their cars. It makes me smile because someone else knows his story. My blonde-haired son Andrew is a soccer player and was 14 when I learned of Andrew's story in early February 2007. I really related to your pain because my son was the same age, had similar interests and even had the same name. I found myself trying not to get as frustrated with him because of your wonderful journal postings. I'm not perfect, but I do try harder since learning of your son's story. I can't imagine what the last year has been like for your family. I was at Andrew's celebration of life with my son Andrew. I just recently attended the 5k also. I love being around soooo many people who know and love your family. I work at the Blood Bank of Delmarva so your names come up there often too. I even chased Joe out of the Blood Bank last summer when he came in to donate soon after Andrew's passing. I felt like he was a real life hero and I just had to meet him. This anniversary is a hard one, I'm sure. You're doing everything you can to keep his memory and spirit alive and you should all be so proud of yourselves and Andrew. Keep the postings coming. I always smile when I see a new one. Hang in there!

McDonough Family, You are in thoughts and prayers today and everyday. On this day a year ago I know where I was and what I was doing, I was praying for a family who has touched my life forever. I'll never forget Andrew and I will always carry the B+ message. Love to you all! Jodi B+
