UDance 2024

UDance 2024

It was a long but fun day as thousands of University of Delaware students gathered for the 12-hour UDance. My favorite part of the day is when I brought the 40 or so B+ Heroes (kids with cancer) up on stage with members of their respective, adopted group (sororities, fraternities, sports teams, student groups). The UD students exceeded last year’s total and raised $1,836,051.63 to help The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation fight childhood cancer by assisting families and funding cutting-edge childhood cancer research.

B+ Hero Kai

I love reading our “About Me” surveys that the B+ Heroes send us. Meet Kai - a big Fortnite fan!

B+ Hero Bella

“My name is Autumn. My family has been a recipient of your generosity. Our daughter's name is Bella, she is 6 years old and is a Neuroblastoma patient. Be positive has helped relieve such a financial burden off of our lives recently. Being an oncology family has changed our lives in such a drastic way but with the help of B+, our family is able to have one burden lifted. We just wanted to say thank you for your kindness and we appreciate people like you. You truly are making a difference in families lives.”

Every single week, we send out over $100,000 of checks to pay for critical expenses for families of kids with cancer. It scares me to think what would happen to these families if you weren’t there for them. Thank you.
