Check out the nice article in today’s Miami Herald about the B+ Racing Team.  Thank you, Al Carter and Hugh Plumb, for giving us yet another platform to increase awareness about childhood cancer!  Good luck in Saturday’s race.  Stay safe.

Congratulations and thank you to all of the University of Delaware students who are coming down the homestretch with “UDance 2011”.  In the last week, the UD students have raised over $50,000 toward our goal of $200,000!  We have 9 days until the big party in the UD Field House.  Remember, it’s open to the public.  Come by and join us from 11am-11pm with special guests – B+ Heroes – being recognized at 5pm.  U.S. Sen. Chris Coons will be joining us as well to honor the B+ Heroes and UD student heroes.  For more information or to help the students reach $200,000, please visit https://www.elleevance.com/UDance2011/EventLandingPage.aspx .

Featured Family of the Week

Our featured B+ Hero this week is 15 yr old, John.  John was diagnosed with a rare form of AML (leukemia) in April, 2009.  In the summer of 2009, he underwent a bone marrow transplant and subsequently suffered kidney failure and acute graft vs host disease.  John requires frequent follow-up visits to various doctors and he and his Mom travel 560 miles roundtrip at least twice a month to the hospital.  Mom lost her job after John was diagnosed and Dad is a disabled veteran.  How can you not help a family like this?  Thank you, B+ Nation, for easing John’s family’s financial burden just a little so that they can continue to focus on what is truly important – John’s recovery.

One of the few things that you can truly control today is your attitude.
