Running and Dancing FOR THE KIDS!
“We wanted to say thank you for the assistance B+ has provided. The loss of my income has definitely made things harder, but I wouldn’t trade the time I get to spend with Helena now while I care for her for anything.”

You Are “the Good in the World”
PLEASE take a minute to read this notes from Harry’s & Arleen’s families. Your financial support is SO much more than just paying a bill.

“Audrey’s Children” Opening March 28th
Mark your calendars for March 28th for the opening of an incredible film. Natalie Dormer (Hunger Games, Game of Thrones) stars as Dr. Audrey Evans, the first female hematology/oncology chief at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

A Whole Lot Going On!
The 2nd Annual Childhood Cancer Prevention Symposium was held at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX.

The Importance of Research
Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of representing you at the 10th Anniversary Meeting of ACCELERATE. Over 220 representatives from 28 countries gathered in Brussels, Belgium.

FLY EAGLES FLY!
Because our mission is to help ALL kids with cancer, you may have noticed that I never address partisan issues like politics, religion, sports, etc. Please allow me this indulgence as I celebrate the Eagles Super Bowl victory with a couple of pictures of Andrew at an Eagles game back at Veteran’s Stadium.

Forever Changed
January 29th never used to mean anything to me. That is until 2007. It was on that day that my family would forever be changed…and certainly not for the better. Just two days earlier, my 14-year-old son helped lead his travel soccer team to a Pennsylvania State Championship.

Lobby for Our B+ Heroes
“We would like to sincerely thank Be Positive for the generous assistance you’ve provided to our family during what has truly been the worst months of our lives. If you could please convey our gratitude to everyone involved, we would greatly appreciate it.”

Live Like Andrew!
We are proud to be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2nd Annual Childhood Cancer Prevention Symposium being held Feb. 11-13, 2025 at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX.

Research Awards Announced!
Thanks to the efforts of our world-class Scientific Advisory Board, we are pleased to announce the selection of our 10 awardees from our current research grant cycle.

Research Update #1 (don’t cringe :)
When Chris, Ali, and I started The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation in 2007, we felt that it was important to be both reactive to the emergency financial needs of families of kids with cancer and proactive in the funding of cutting-edge childhood cancer research.

Peter & Amelia
Please take a minute to read Peter’s story. I’m glad that we not only were able to help lessen the financial burden, but equally importantly, we are providing much needed psychosocial support through our B+ Heroes Program.

Do You Know Anyone In Kentucky or Utah???
We join the charity, Smashing Walnuts, and Gabriella Miller’s family in asking for your support today…and it will only take a few minutes. Please read their urgent appeal.

Baby Bennett
An 8 month old baby should not have a brain tumor! It’s so cruel. Please read the note below from Bennett’s family.

Research Makes a Difference!
It’s been a very busy few weeks on the research front. Even though I’m not a scientist, I’ve learned so much over the past 17 years and I find the research so exciting.

Last Chance!
I don’t want anyone to experience a diagnosis of cancer for their child. Can you imagine hearing that BOTH of your twins have cancer???

Running to Make a Difference
Last Saturday, I did something that I never thought possible. I ran 20 miles as part of my training for the TCS New York City Marathon on Nov. 3rd.
