BREAKING NEWS!!!
I am thrilled to inform you that The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation has been selected as the 2012 beneficiary of Northwestern University’s MILLION DOLLAR dance marathon!!!
The Northwestern Univ Dance Marathon is the 2nd largest student-run philanthropy in the country. NU DM 2011 raised $1,019,000. I’m sure NU DM 12 will be even bigger. The B+ Foundation will receive 90% of the proceeds!
70 charities from around the country applied to be selected as the beneficiary. After a few trips to Evanston, IL (just outside of Chicago), a few presentations, some calls and emails, we got the GREAT news. This is not only big news for The B+ Foundation, but for everyone in the fight against childhood cancers. This investment from the NU students will allow us to establish our first regional office that will exist long after NU DM 12 is over.
I will have a lot more to share with you in the future, but suffice it say, we just moved one big step closer to curing childhood cancers and many steps forward in our quest to help families in the battle!
Thank you, thank you, thank you – students of Northwestern University!!!!
