In Honor of Miranda Ram-Nolte

My post from Sunday on FB:

The world lost a special young lady yesterday. I lost a friend. It may sound odd that a 52 yr old guy would refer to an 18 yr old young lady as his friend. But, it's really not odd. Over 5 years ago, I met a little kid who was into Tae Kwon Do and who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). I watched Miranda Ram-Nolte grow into a beautiful young lady who has inspired me and thousands of people. She battled through multiple relapses and ALWAYS kept such an amazing, positive, and faith-filled attitude. She never complained or worried about herself; she always worried about others.

Miranda died yesterday at 5:15pm at A.I. DuPont Hospital in Wilmington, DE.

I can honestly say that I am a better person for having known Miranda and having been her friend. I will never forget Miranda and I will always carry a piece of her with me.

I'm not a big 'selfie' person, but Miranda got me to take my1st 'selfie'...me and Miranda at A.I DuPont Hospital in a room that was Andrew's room 6 years earlier.
