For all of you who celebrate Easter, I hope you have had a joyous day. Easter has always been the most significant holy day for me. Jesus sacrificed for us. God watched His son suffer and die. We are inspired to live better lives because of Jesus. This feels very familiar.

One of the things that I like about the Lenten season (and the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur) is that we get off the 'merry-go-round' for a minute or two and take stock of our lives. It's a reflective time where we think about our shortcomings, contemplate sacrifices, and try to be better people. Sounds like something we should do 365 days a year, doesn't it!

I remember the lonely (and scary) feeling sitting in the hospital last Easter. Someone nicely brought in Easter baskets in for all of the kids in the PICU. Please don't forget about all those kids in the hospital as go about your day.

Andrew, Happy Easter, pal! We miss your presence in this world so much. I'm sure they have chocolate in Heaven; hope you had a lot today. :) You're the best son in the world.
