We’re back in Delaware now after a few days away for Spring Break. It was very nice, but I honestly don’t think I can call it a vacation. It was a nice trip, but I thought about Andrew almost all of the time. It was a nice distraction, but it’s good to be home.

This may sound odd, but grieving is exhausting. If you’ve lost a child, you know what I mean.

We are excited to report that a new hair salon in Wilmington, The Red Carpet Salon, has approached us about doing a fundraiser for the B+ Foundation. In addition to raising money, they are interested in helping us increase awareness AND, get this, the owner (Amos Standberry) has decided to name a haircut, “the Andrew cut”!!! J How cool is that! I’m sure Andrew is getting a real kick out of this. It’s kind of ironic, though, since Andrew didn’t really like getting his curls cut! So, stop by The Red Carpet Salon at 1715 Delaware Ave in Wilmington and ask for the “Andrew cut”. But, you’ll have to wait a week since the Grand Opening celebration is this Saturday evening. (The phone number for the salon is 302-655-2477) I’ll let you know the details on the fundraising efforts once we nail them down. Thank you very much to Amos and everyone at The Red Carpet Salon.

Well, I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get any B+ coverage on Extreme Makeover Home Edition last night. As you may know, last night’s show was the project completed here in Delaware. I was kind of hoping that you might see a certain deranged, middle-aged, bald guy jumping around in the background with a B+ sweatshirt on. I guess they edited me out. J

We’d like to congratulate two families on very successful fund-raisers over the weekend. On Saturday night, we stopped by the “Hope for Hayden (Godwin)” event in DE and, on Sun, we did the 1 mile “Billy Mock Run/Walk” in PA (yeah, we’re lazy…we didn’t do the 5k run…I’m saving myself for the “B+ 5k” on June 19th). I understand that Hayden is fighting hard and receiving his chemo at home now. Billy went to Heaven at age 13 a short time before Andrew. Both families are very inspirational!

God bless you.
