I’ve got to admit…I’m still in a haze and I can’t stop thinking about Noxah Palomo and his family.  Noxah battled AML so bravely and suffered through 4 or more relapses.  It’s such a cruel journey.  You think you’re making progress, and you get kicked in the gut.  I’m so glad that Noxah got out to see his sister’s field hockey game on Friday and received the well-deserved attention of the girls wearing his “Warrior 21″ shirts.  To Noxah’s family, you too have been an inspiration, a role model of love for your son and brother.

More details will follow, but I believe the viewing will be at Doherty’s Funeral Home on Limestone Rd in Wilmington on Wed. evening with the funeral on Thursday morning at St. John the Beloved Church on Milltown Road.  When I get the specifics, I’ll post them for you.

Please keep Jordan Lawson in your prayers.  Jordan is a local Concord HS boy who is also battling cancer.  Jordan got to meet his hero, Derek Jeter, on the field at Fenway Park.  Jordan, if Derek truly knew you, I guarantee that he would say that YOU are his hero.

Speaking of heroes, I have to look to Heaven to wish a Hero of mine a happy birthday (belated).  Yesterday was my Dad’s birthday.  Dad, please keep an eye on your curly-haired grandson up there.  I love you.  (See photo to left of me and my parents....it's awhile ago...I had hair!!!)
