Our B+ Hero Families Thank You!
Victoria
You’ve got to read this note from Victoria’s Dad. Her brothers had NEVER been able to meet her…until now….thanks to you!!!
“I don’t even know where to begin. These last 14+ months have been an absolute whirlwind of emotions for My wife, myself and our 6 kids. We are from Upstate NY and our journey started in September of 2021 in Albany NY. Victoria and her twin brother were born on September 11, 2021. Victoria was born with Trisomy 18 and a large VSD. Albany refused treatment of Victorias VSD so our journey took us first to Orlando Florida for potential heart repair in February of 2022. In Orlando around June 2022, while waiting for heart repair and doing final scans to prep for surgery a spot on Victoria’s liver was found. Our worst fears were confirmed and Victoria was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma a rare liver cancer. Being that we were not at a cancer specific hospital we made the determination to give Victoria everything we had and had her transferred to Cincinnati Childrens where she could receive the best care in the country for her Liver cancer. 6 rounds of chemotherapy, a liver resection and an open heart surgery later, Victoria is thriving and awaiting transport back to our home state of NYS. The funds sent will be so helpful to our family as we will now be able to fly her two oldest siblings out to meet her for the first time. It was the only Christmas present they asked for this year and The B+ Foundation is helping to make it happen. A cancer diagnosis is hard enough, but the financial implications that come with it by being away from home and being on one income make the situation even harder. This is better than any Christmas gift anyone could ask for and we thank everyone involved for the generosity.”
Cole
Please see the heartfelt note from Cole’s Mom.
“Thank you for your very generous donation to help me get my vehicle fixed. My son Cole just turned 16 on October 6th. He was a 10 year brain cancer survivor. In July this past summer we learned that the cancer returned. Cole is currently a cancer patient and is working on becoming a survivor once again. He is a typical 16 year old. He has not returned to high school yet but is working on getting his drivers license and possibly returning to work a few shifts per week at McDonalds. He is a very loving, generous, hardworking and protective brother. He has a big sister Alyssa, big brother Kadence and baby brother Kobe and baby sister Adalhlia. He is loved! Cole recently completed intensive radiation (2x a day) and is now doing 28 day cycles of chemo. I feel better traveling in our vehicle with winter coming knowing it is safe for my son to get to his appointments. It takes stress off of me so that we can concentrate on making sure Cole gets better and makes a full recovery. Thank you so much I am very grateful to your Foundation.” (Pictured below is Cole holding his mask that was made for him for his radiation treatments.)
Thank you, B+ Nation, for changing these families’ lives!
