Remembering B+ Hero, Steph Bader

Alliance for Childhood Cancer Action Days

Once a year, the childhood cancer community - families of kids with cancer and anyone who thinks that kids shouldn't get cancer - convenes in Washington, DC to give a voice to the voiceless.  The B+ Foundation is proud to be one of the member organizations of the Alliance and we invite any and all to join us.  If you are interested, Day 1 is a day to review the issues (the "asks" of the Congress) and Day 2 is when you will be scheduled to visit your elected officials to tell them to support the various "asks".  No special expertise is needed; just a willingness to stand up for the kids.  If you live anywhere in the US, we can schedule you with visits to your Representatives and Senators.  It doesn't matter what state you come from.  This year's Action Days will be held on Mon June 15th and Tues. June 16th.

Please email me at Joe@LiveLikeAndrew.org if you're interested in making the trip.

Remembering B+ Hero, Steph Bader

It is with great sadness that I report that B+ Hero, Steph Bader, passed away last Friday at the age of 13 following a battle with a brain tumor.  To me, the highlight of UDance 2015 was watching Steph and her sister, Kate, go on-stage to sing Let It Go.  It was a very special few minutes and I feel so honored that Steph joined us that day.  Steph signature pose was a duck-face and peace sign pose.  Please keep Steph's families in your prayers.

"Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer"

Come out this Saturday from 10am-3pm for the 4th Annual B+ Bake Sale hosted by the Munch & Gramiak kids at the corner of 19th & Brinckle Avenue in Wilmington.  If you don't know where that is, after you leave the Wilmington Flower Market and walk down the hill, you'll see the kids on the corner.

This past Sunday, B+ Hero Sibling, Casey Callahan (sister of Joey B) hosted their 5th Annual B+ Bake Sale at the Green Ridge Fire Station in Aston, PA.  Casey and her classmates raised $372 to help families of kids with cancer!

It's really energizing seeing kids showing so much concern for other kids.  Don't ever say "Kids these days..." to me!

Thank you, NYU, for inviting me to speak to the Greek Community Monday night and for hosting Sunday's B+ Hero Picnic in Washington Square Park.  Your dedication and selflessness is very inspiring.
