Happy 25th birthday to my nephew, Bob, who is so honorably serving our country flying a Blackhawk helicopter in Afghanistan. Bob’s job is to fly in and pick up wounded soldiers and airlift them back to safety and medical care. I’m guessing the irony hasn’t been lost on you that Bob’s birthday is the same day as the tragedy 8 years ago that started this situation in Afghanistan. (Also, happy birthday to my niece Caroline…you’re just as cool and heroic as Bob!!!
