Walk or Run for the Kids

17th Annual B+ 5k - Wednesday June 14th

Please join us - in person or virtually - on June 14th as we celebrate our B+ Heroes and raise money and awareness about childhood cancers. The event will be held, as always, at Andrew’s alma mater - Salesianum School. For those in person, there will be a lot of free food and great company. Please join us WHEREVER you are by registering today. Thanks.

B+ Hero Meadow

“Thank you so much for your assistance and I am so sorry about your loss, your son was the same age as my daughter is today. I wish no one ever goes through any of this.

On April 5th 2023 my 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with DIPG an inoperable brain tumor in her brain stem. Her eyes seemed cross suddenly and we went into urgent care thinking it was an ophthalmology issue with a lazy eye.

After the brain biopsy that very night, we went home processing this new reality. We just spent last week in the ICU after she had a seizure in my arms, this has been a month of brain surgeries, treatments, and procedures. We are hopeful that things will settle down with radiation treatments and steroids so that Meadow has some good months ahead of her to be a teenager and hang out with friends and her sister. I have seen her mature years over this month, she asks me questions I don’t have answers to, and even filling out the “About Me Survey” she stated “I believe I need to stay positive” how appropriate that this program is all about Be Positive. We will stay positive and cherish each day because tomorrow is not promised.

Thank you again for helping during this time. I have included a picture of Meadow being herself, embracing nature, her love since birth. We went camping in Joshua Tree last year and I am so glad we did. Her sister and I hiked, camped, talked, and watched the stars every night and we still talk about that trip.”

Thanks for your continued support.
