Another Successful B+ 5k!

Thank you all who joined us on Wed night, donated, or participated virtually in our 10th Annual B+ 5k Run/Walk.  We had a huge crowd, great weather, a lot of good food, a lot of fun, and a big gang of B+ Heroes (see picture).  You just cannot imagine what these kids are living through.  And, it was very important for us to honor those kids who have gone before us as well.

A Cool Way to Fight for the Kids

Mariel Jacobs & Eric Goodman met a few years ago while students at the University of Delaware and got to know each other really well while both served on the UDance Executive Board.  On July 4th, Mariel and Eric will tie the knot and in a nod to their B+ connection and common passion for fighting childhood cancer, they will be including our cause in their wedding.  In lieu of wedding favors, the happy couple has made a donation to The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and will be giving each guest a flyer which tells more about B+ and the battle against childhood cancer.  Thank you, Mariel & Eric, and best wishes for many happy and healthy years together.

B+ Hero, Sydney Lysinger

B+ Hero, Sydney Lysinger, battled through Hodgkins Lymphoma several years ago shortly after graduating from grade school.  In spite of treatments, Syd played multiple sports in high school and then went off to Appalachian State in Boone, NC.  Last week, I learned the shocking news that Sydney's cancer has come back.  Please keep Sydney and her family in your thoughts and prayers!

Make it a great weekend.
