Meet a New B+ Hero

Meet B+ Hero, Lisandro

Lisandro is a 15 yr old boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in Dec. 2014 and it has now spread to his lungs.  He lives with aunt and uncle, both who are blind.  The Social Worker reports that they are both "attentive, diligent caregivers who work hard to support Lisandro".  The aunt and uncle make approximately $20,000/yr.

Until recently, Lisandro slept on the family's couch in their living room.  The Social Worker was able to obtain a hospital bed for him but he has no bedding for it.  All this family asked for was $300 to buy bedding, pillows, and other necessary supplies to make Lisandro more comfortable.

Thank you for enabling us to help Lisandro and his family!

CrossFit Wheelhouse Celebrates Anniversary with B+

What better way to celebrate your 2nd birthday as a company than throwing a big party and raising money for a great charity?!  Thanks, CrossFit Wheelhouse of Avondale, PA, for including us in your big day.  CrossFit Wheelhouse also raised $12,000 in June for us in their "Battle at the Board" in Dewey Beach at The Starboard.

Eagle Systems Expands Partnership with  The B+ Foundation

The B+ Foundation has enjoyed a long partnership with Eagles Systems of Kennett Square, PA and, in honor of their 20th anniversary, owners Joe Nolan and Brian Nolan made a very generous gift to help us help families like Lisandro.  We are very proud to have Brian on our Board of Directors as well.

"Growing Older but Not Up"

If you know that line, you know Jimmy Buffett and you should have joined us for the Blue Hen Parrothead Club's 8th Annual Bay Bash in Pennsville, NJ on July 25th.  There was a lot of great music, good food & drink, and a lot of people who have "grown older but not up".  Thank you, Blue Hen Parrothead Club, Foundry9, and Kohl's for making us your beneficiary.

How can you help The B+ Foundation fight childhood cancer at your company, school, swim club, neighborhood, estate planning, create an event???  Thanks for thinking about this.

Upcoming:

The DelVal BMW Club, one of our longtime sponsors, is hosting their B+ Day at the Track for all DE/MD/PA/NJ B+ Heroes.  The kids and siblings (and Moms & Dads) get the opportunity to take a lap or two around the track in a race car at New Jersey Motorsports Park.  This year's event will be on Sat. Aug. 22nd.  If you're interested in joining the DelVal BMW Club, please visit their website .  This is always so well-received by the kids!  Thanks, DelVal BMW Club for putting on a great day for the kids and for your generous financial support.

B+ Hero Daulton Hull is selling tee-shirts with the proceeds being split between The B+ Foundation and another charity.  Daulton is a brave little guy from Mullica Hill, NJ who is also paired with Alpha Sig at UD.  Daulton and his family would love to ship you out a Team Daulton shirt.  Order shirts here.
