I'd like to introduce you to 9 year old Teeolah.  Teeolah is recovering from brain surgery that she had for her cancer in August.  Unfortunately, she developed a syndrome which has rendered her mute and she is unable to eat by mouth.  Teeolah's Mom and brother (seen in the picture) have put all of their household belongings into storage and are now staying at the local Ronald McDonald House.  Please keep Teeolah and her family in your prayers.  Thanks to your generosity, The B+ Foundation has been able to provide much needed assistance to this family.

Childhood Cancer - It's More Common Than You Think

Sarah, one of the student organizers of our event at New York University, bravely told a bit of her story in a very powerful video for a class project.  When she was 9 years old, she was diagnosed with a walnut-sized brain tumor.  I hope you'll take a few minutes to watch this very powerful video that Sarah made.  Sarah, thank you for your courage and voice.

It's That Time of Year - United Way Time!

If your (your parents') employer organizes a United Way employee giving campaign, please keep The B+ Foundation and our kids in your thoughts and plans.  Locally, our United Way "write-in" numbers are as follows:

UW Delaware -- #11776

UW Southeastern PA -- #47481

We also receive donations from generous supporters through the UW of Maryland, NJ, So Carolina, San Diego, and many other chapters around the country.  Please just write in "The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation" and tax id # (42-1741037) on your form.

If your employer runs an independent campaign like so many companies due in lieu of the United Way, please keep our kids in mind.  You enable us to help families of kids with cancer in 240 hospitals around the country!!!

Congratulations to the UDance students at Delaware who had a very successful Rave Run last night, the University of Michigan (Alpha Phi) who hosted a B+ fundraiser earlier in the week, and JoanieFit who raised awareness and money for us last week with Kickboxing classes in Delaware.  Thank you all!!!
