"Meet the Eagles" Event has been Postponed

Due to a change in practice requirements for the players, Darren Sproles and Brandon Boykin are no longer available on Sunday and thus, the "Meet the Eagles" event at Firestone Restaurant has been postponed.  We're told that the event will be held later in the season and that The B+ Foundation will still be the beneficiary.  Stay tuned for more details.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is right around the corner.  The month kicks off with a very special day on September 3rd --- Andrew's birthday.  In honor of Andrew's 22nd birthday, would you please consider making a donation of $22 (or more) to support Ali's or my fundraising efforts for our Disney Half Marathon.  Ali and I will be participating, along with 16 others, on the B+ Running Team for the Nov. 8th Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon.  We are novice runners, but we're doing well, running virtually every day.  I just need to step up my fundraising.  We have committed to each raising $2,600 to fight childhood cancers.  Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated.

Stay tuned, because there will be a lot of activities upcoming in September in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  For example:

  • Promotion with Seasons Pizza in DE/NJ/PA/MD - add $1, $3, or $5 to your bill all throughout Sept that will go to The B+ Foundation.  Also, there will be a special promotion on 9/25/14.

  • There will be numerous activities in Washington, DC including "CureFest" on the National Mall on Sun. Sept. 21st and the Congressional Pediatric Cancer Caucus on Sept. 19th.

  • Dover International Speedway will be supporting us during the Sept 26-28 NASCAR races...more to come.

B+ Heroes Take to the Track Tomorrow (8/23)

Rain or shine, a few dozen B+ Heroes and families will visit New Jersey Motorsports Park tomorrow as guests of the Delaware Valley chapter of the BMW Car Club of America.  The families will get to meet drivers, take a few laps around the track in a race car, hang out in the garages and the podium, have a nice lunch, watch the race, and have a lot of fun.  Last year's event was so successful.  We thank the BMW DelVal Club for both financially supporting The B+ Foundation and also for putting on such a nice day for the kids and their families.

Make it a great weekend.

B+
