Two Great Rings

Ok, so they’re both pretty valuable, but you can only buy one.  Nothing against the Ravens 2000 Super Bowl ring 🙂 but at about 1/2 the size and a fraction of the cost, you can sport a cool-looking B+ ring by visting the B+ shop online.  If jewelry is not your thing, check out all of the B+ apparel.

Posthumous Honor for Andrew

Cuddle My Kids, a non-profit organization in Westtown, PA, has as its mission to serve as an in-home, no-cost resource for families with cancer.  On March 6th at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern, PA, they will be hosting their annual awards dinner.  They present two awards each year and this year, the Marjorie Gormley Goodwin Award of service will be posthumously awarded to Andrew McDonough.  Chris, Ali, and I are deeply grateful and honor to receive this award on Andrew’s behalf.  Thank you, Cuddle My Kids, for honoring our boy!  For more information about this great organization, please visit http://cuddlemykids.org/ .

Featured Family of the Week

I would like to introduce you to Melvin.  God-willing, Melvin will turn 2 years old on March 12th.  But, Melvin may not make it to his 2nd birthday.  This little guy was born premature and has been ventilator-dependent.  Just over a month ago, he was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and there are no treatment options available to him.  Melvin’s family makes $10,800 and requested our assistance to pay for electricity and rent.  My friends, these are the families you help.  I wish I could tell you that it’s rare for me to see an application like this.  It’s not.  And, yes, you read that correctly — $10,800.  The B+ Foundation, YOUR foundation, has helped keep Melvin and his family in their apartment and keep the electricity on…at least for a little while.  I so wish we could pull the cancer out of this little innocent child’s body.  Until we find the cures, we help the families.  Thank you for caring.

Good Luck THON

About an hour ago, thousands of Penn State students got to their feet and will stay on their feet for the next 45 hours!!!  THON, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, will look to beat last year’s fundraising total of $10.7 MILLION!!!  THON raises money to fight childhood cancer at the Penn State Hershey Hospital.  The THON students have been great supporters of The B+ Foundation and we wish them great success this weekend.  As they say in State College, it’s FTK!!!   (For The Kids)

Make it a great weekend.
