How many children's funerals are too many?

It's NOT a difficult question.  KIDS SHOULD NOT DIE!  It's really simple.

In the last 4 days, I have attended 2 memorial services for 2 young people who died of cancer.  Last Friday, I was privileged to speak at Taylor Helland's memorial service in Arlington, TX.  Taylor was a 19 yr old, TCU sophomore.  Today, I attended the Janazah (funeral) for 8 year old, B+ Hero (Tri Delt-Villanova), Jibril, in North Philadelphia. (See picture of Jibril when Ali and the Philadelphia 76ers hosted them for a game last Fall.)

Whether Protestant or Muslim, southern or northern, white or black, girl or boy...it makes no difference! The grief that I saw on Friday is the same grief that I saw today. The tears are the same.  We MUST come together, as a nation, as a world, and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!  It's time we put the lives of our kids at the forefront and fight for them.  They deserve it.  They deserve a chance to grow up!  We OWE it to them and their families!

May God bless our B+ Heroes and their families and give us the courage to take on this fight!
