Well, we’ve put the finishing touches on our Chase/Facebook submission for Round 2.  Voting will begin on Jan 15th and run through Jan 22nd.  As a reminder, The B+ Foundation is one of 100 charities chosen from 500,000 eligible non-profit groups in Round 1.  As a Top 100 charity, thanks to you, we will be receiving $25,000!

If we get the most votes in Round 2, we will win $1,000,000!!!  Wouldn’t that be incredible?!  There will also be 5 runners-up who will each receive $100,000.  Not too shabby either.  Get ready for me to pester you next week!  :)  We’re really going to need everyone’s support to not only go on FB to vote, but to send the link to everyone you know so that they can vote and send it on to their friends as well.

Another major event that is in the works is the inaugural “B+ College Classic”, a showcase of 4 men’s college soccer teams and 4 women’s college soccer teams.  The ‘tournament’ will take place in Delaware in the Spring and will allow the community an up close view of some high level soccer.  And, this event will be a platform for us to raise not only money but awareness for childhood cancers.  You don’t need to know much about or love soccer to join us.  More info to come.  I think Andrew will definitely be smiling down on this event!

Finally, I would like to also ask for your prayers for a family of B+ supporters, the Loncki family.  Tomorrow will be the 3 year anniversary since their daughter, Elizabeth, bravely and unselfishly gave her life for our country in Iraq.  May God bless all of the soldiers in the field of battle and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
