Jaymeson

B+ Hero Jaymeson

My heart breaks for all of our B+ Heroes, but this story is particularly sad. Please feel free to send out a message of support to Jaymeson as requested by his Dad (website listed at the end of his message).

“My name is Adrian and I am Jaymeson's dad. We cannot express how much this means to us. The support we have received has left us amazed and allows us to be by his side

Jaymeson is 12 and is our youngest son . On September 16th, 2023 we received the news that Jaymeson had a mass at the base of his brain, which ultimately was been determined to be Medulloblastoma a common form of brain cancer in children.

After the surgery to remove the tumor, he developed a severe Cerebellar Mutism. This has rendered him unable to speak, sit, walk, eat the normal things that I once took for granted. The only way to get thru this is to go thru a lot of therapy. Radiation starts tomorrow and chemo is scheduled after that for a total of 15 months.

As you could imagine he has fallen into depression and is not fighting back.

He is honestly one of the sweetest kids you could have the pleasure of meeting. Always polite, so kind and sweet, always concerned with everyone else and their feelings. It breaks our hearts that such a sweet soul is going to go through such a difficult and painful time.

To give a little idea of who he is. While in the PICU unit at children's after his 1st surgery waiting in recovery. There was a little boy that was crying and was very scared. Jaymeson told him its ok to be scared and that everything will be ok, "you got this". The next day in the PICU there was a new girl brought in that was very scared, he wrote her a letter just telling her it was going to be ok and then asked her questions. He made a mailbox for each of them and then sent letters back and forth.

This is just who he is. Jaymeson was always drawn to the kids that were ignored or picked on and was always a positive influence on them. He was friends with all walks of life.

Jaymeson was unable to fill this in or answer any questions because of the mutism but we have talked about these very things and i feel comfortable answering for him at this time.

My first name is Jaymeson.

I am 12 years old.

I love my family, pets and friends.

I wonder about Storms, how they form and what makes them so powerful.

I wish that i could just be me again.

I believe this will get better.

I am afraid of staying this way for the rest of my life.

I dream of owning my own golf carts and a 1980's chevy pick up.

I was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma.

I would like to ask for one more favor . Jaymeson has been depressed and is not fighting at the moment. We want him to know he is not fighting alone. If you could take a picture that reads "Team Jaymeson" and the B+ logo, we would love to add it to his website https://teamjaymeson.com/”

Nobody has more courageous bosses than I have. Please keep them all in your prayers.
