It was an exciting night last night as we went to the University of Delaware to watch Ali’s team play for the state title. Ursuline won their 4th title in 5 years, 13th (I think) in the 30 or so years of tournament history. It was fun to watch, but it was also hard. Last year at this time, I raced down to the championship game, caught the last quarter of action, saw a sea of red “B+” shirts, heard chants of “Andrew, Andrew, Andrew” after the game, and then raced back to the hospital. We’re in such a different place one year later. For the record, Chris and I wore our red “B+” shirts and we were glad to see others with their “B+” gear on as well! J We also appreciate the support from the team. Their warm-up shirts say “B+” on one sleeve and “Play Like Andrew” on the other sleeve. Congratulations to St. Elizabeth’s High School, as well, for providing an incredible rivalry and exciting games these past 5 years. You should be very proud of your season.

Speaking of mixed feelings, as I mentioned the other day, I had the honor of being a confirmation sponsor today for 2 incredible teenagers, Caroline McDonough and Dylan Miller. It meant so much to us that they took Andrew’s name (or a derivative thereof) as a way to honor our hero. But, it’s sad when I think back to Andrew’s confirmation, just two months before going in to the hospital. You just never know what’s around the corner.

Thanks for all of your requests for the “B+ … Pay it Forward” cards. I can’t wait to hear the stories of how they’re being used. I hope people will report on that on www.BePositive.org.

Please keep Carrie Maniscalco in your prayers…and please feel free to leave some words of encouragement for her at www.caringbridge.org/visit/carriemaniscalco. Thanks.

Please enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Live Like Andrew – Keep your life in perspective.
