Some cool things have happened since my last update.

Early last week, I had the privilege of speaking with the Tower Hill girls basketball team. Following my talk, I helped out by playing the role of one of their opposition players for the following night’s state tournament game. It was a lot of fun. Well, this week, they sent me a note thanking me and informing me that they were naming me an “Honorary Coach”. While I appreciate this SO much, all of my friends who have seen me play will be rolling on the ground laughing when they read this. Let’s just say – I try hard, but basketball is not exactly my best sport! J

On Tuesday night, I had the honor of speaking to a group of parents and middle school students at St. Anthony’s in Wilmington. Thank you for your continued kindness and generosity.

Yesterday was the Ursuline Academy blood drive. Thank you to all the girls, faculty, staff, and parents who donated. Your donation is really appreciated. It wasn’t that bad, was it???

Last night, we had our “B+Foundation 5k Run/Walk” kick-off meeting. The Run/Walk is scheduled for Thursday June 19th at Salesianum. We had 800 participants last year. We’re hoping to break that record and raise a lot of money for all of the families in need, research, and the deserving Andrew McDonough Scholarship students. We will have our registration site up in the near future. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact our leader on this initiative, Cathy Gladnick. Cathy did an awesome job last year and we greatly appreciate her continued involvement. Cathy can be reached at cgladnick@aol.com.

Today, Ali had a soccer scrimmage game for school. Today was the first time since January 27, 2007, that I had the tremendous privilege to watch a child of mine play in a soccer game. Ali, I am SO proud of you. Guess what uniform number Ali got??? 15 --- Andrew’s old number (except for FC Delco where he was 20, confusing, huh?)

Our www.BePositive.org site has been down for the past few days. Our apologies…we’re working to get it back online ASAP.
