Featured Family of the Week
Today, I would like to introduce you to 15 yr old, Jesus. Jesus is a Wisconsin boy who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma five years ago and underwent an amputation of his leg and a year of chemotherapy. He fought through many surgeries, relapses, and a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, the cancer spread to his other leg and that too was amputated. Additionally, the cancer has spread to his lungs and he will have surgery soon in an attempt to remove the tumors or as much of them as possible. Jesus will then face additional chemo post-surgery. His family is struggling to pay the bills on their $23,000 annual income since they are losing income due to missing work for appointments. Thanks to the generosity of the B+ Nation, we have been able to provide some financial assistance to Jesus and his family. Thank you!

Starboard B+ VIP Black Tag Auction a Huge Success
I’m thrilled to report that last weekend’s Starboard B+ VIP Black Tag Auction in Dewey Beach was a huge success. The 25 tags brought in an aggregate $12,000+ for The B+ Foundation and our fight against childhood cancers. Thank you Toastie & Monty from the Starboard, Aaron Dunphy from lowdigittags.com, B+ Race Car driver, Al Carter, and Ken Beach for making this possible…as well as all of our generous auction bidders, of course.

Salesianum Lacrosse Supports SavannahStrong and B+
A few weeks ago, the #1 ranked Salesianum lacrosse team donned pink shirts and Pink Turtle shorts for their game against rival St. Mark’s HS, in honor of B+ Hero, friend, and wonderful young lady, Savannah Pauley. Savannah is up in Heaven with Andrew and Savannah, Andrew, and other special people were honored before the game. Proceeds from the game have generously been designated to go to The B+ Foundation in honor of Savannah. Good luck to the Sallies lacrosse team as they attempt to accomplish a feat tomorrow that no DE high school has ever done — a three-peat as state champions.

Cancer Research Article
While this does not deal specifically with childhood cancer research, I thought you might find this recent Time magazine cancer research article very interesting.
