As you’ll see in the picture below, our Hero, Andrew, was honored on the Jumbotron as the Philadelphia Union’s “Hometown Hero” for last night’s game against English club, Aston Villa.

It was a great honor and I’m sure Andrew was smiling down on us.  Thank you, Charlie Dodds, Rob Smith, and everyone at the Union for honoring my son.

An added treat was seeing Andrew’s friend and FC Delco teammate, Jimmy McLaughlin, start and play 65 minutes of the match.  Following the game, Jimmy presented us with his #20 Union Jersey.  Jimmy wears #20 as a tribute to his buddy, Andrew.  It was also great catching up with former US National Team member and Union star, Chris Albright, after the game.  Chris followed Andrew’s journey while we were in the hospital.

It was really “Andrew’s Night”!
