Thurs. June 14th
As you’ll see below, we were in Memphis on Tues. to present a $140,000 research grant to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This grant will support their cutting edge work on the Pediatric Cancer Genome Project (PCGP). The PCGP will likely yield discoveries that will be the basis of research for years to come. Thank you to all of our supporters, and especially the students of Northwestern University, for making this possible.

6th Annual B+ Fighting Childhood Cancer 5k Run/Walk
ONE week from today!!! Online registration will be open until Mon. June 18th. After that, you can register on the 21st at the event. Don’t wait until the night of the event, though; the line is a lot shorter sitting at your computer! 🙂
Remember to send out emails to at least 10 people asking them to support your efforts. The donation email can be found on the website.
We’re coming down the home stretch. I’d like to give a shout out to “I Run for Phoebe” team who is in first place both in the fundraising total and number of participants. All the teams, particularly the HERO teams, deserve recognition. But, I’d like to focus on one right now- Team Degnan. Chris Degnan was a great man who I got a chance to know. Chris died following a battle with cancer and he said he just couldn’t imagine kids having to go through what he did. Chris’ family honors him every year by creating “Team Degnan” to help fight childhood cancers.
Thank you all. Without you, we can accomplish only so much.
