Featured Family of the Week
“There are truly no words to describe the depth of our gratitude for all the acts of kindness and generosity shown to our family since our son, Camden, was diagnosed with leukemia last June. We have seen the true good that is in the world exemplified in the love and support so many family members, friends, colleagues, and strangers have shown us. Included in these amazing supporters is The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation…We were overwhelmed and humbled by the generosity of The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and count it as one of our many blessings. To say thank you just doesn’t seem enough, but we want you to know the extent of our gratitude. Our family knows that we truly do not ‘fight alone’.”

7th Annual B+ Fighting Childhood Cancer 5k Run/Walk
Sign up today! June may seem far off, but don’t procrastinate.
You can register as an Individual or, better yet, we recommend you create a team…it could be in honor of a B+ Hero, a group from work, a sports team/swim club, school, neighborhood… It’s up to you and really easy to set up. Once you set up the team, get EVERYONE you know to register. Then, all they need to do is forward the email (that we provide on your team page) to everyone they know. This will not only raise money in an easy way but it helps us raise awareness about childhood cancer. As with everything we do, when a lot of people do a little, it’s amazing what we can accomplish. Think about all of the Joses that you can help.
Thurs. June 20th 6:45pm
Salesianum School in Wilmington

Did you know that 46 kids will be diagnosed with cancer today?

As I’ve been writing this update, I heard the unmistakable sound of the rotors of a helicopter. As some of you may know, we live very, very close to A.I. duPont Hospital where Andrew battled and ultimately died. About two weeks before Andrew went to Heaven, he was airlifted to Jefferson Hospital for brain surgery. Every time I hear, and then see, the helicopter descending or taking off from AI, it literally makes my stomach turn.

When you lay your head on your pillow tonight, ask yourself whether you made a difference in someone’s life today.
Live Like Andrew.
