2012 Year in Review

2012 was a busy year for The B+ Foundation. Thanks to our loyal supporters, we are able to continue making a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. Take a look…This year, B+ was fortunate to have support from Northwestern University Dance Marathon raising $661,000, UDance at the University of Delaware raising $470,000, and Ali earning $25,000 for B+ from The NASCAR Foundation, among other great events and generous donations supporting our efforts. With help …from our great sponsor and supporter Horizon Services, Inc. – Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, we had another tremendously successful 5K raising over $105,000 for the cause.

Childhood cancer awareness was raised through Al Carter’s SceneTap B+ Foundation Racing program and B+ Score for a Cure programs at University of Delaware Football and Wilmington Blue Rocks. Thanks to our friends at AstraZeneca for making the B+ Score for a Cure program possible.

In 2012, The B+ Foundation funded over $215,000 of critical childhood cancer research at St. Jude Children’s Research HospitalSeattle Children’s Hospital and Nemours Childhood Cancer Research Center.

And, we were able to provide over $500,000 in financial assistance to nearly 1,000 families of children with cancer nationwide!  These requests came from 175 hospitals and social services organizations nationwide.

We are grateful for your support in 2012.  There are too many people to thank individually.  We hope you know how much we appreciate your support and we hope you’ll stick with us in 2013 and help us get closer to a world without childhood cancer.
