Chase Community Giving

As you know, voting contests have become popular with corporate philanthropy efforts.  The B+ Foundation was one of the winning charities of the inaugural Chase Community Giving Campaign a few years back.  This year’s Chase contest, which The B+ Foundation is not eligible to participate in, wraps up voting tomorrow.  We have been asked by several charity friends to help them in their campaigning.  We hope you’ll consider these great organizations if you’re interested in participating in the Chase contest.

Diamond Blackfan Anemia

Minding Your Mind Foundation

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Ali & Andrew Memory

I came across a picture of Ali and Andrew the other day and it brought a smile to my face.  Back in 2000, I was doing some business with Christina Aguilera and her manager.  We got a chance to go backstage and meet Christina,  and Ali got to go on-stage as a back-up singer for one song.  It was really cool.  (Ali and Andrew were 7 and 9 years old, respectively.)  A funny sidenote to this story…there was a upstart opening act hanging out backstage in their dressing room with the door wide open.  We all looked in and saw these ladies but I didn’t know much about them.  The name of their group was… Destiny’s Child.  Little did I know that one of the young ladies in there, with no security around btw, would end up being a superstar named Beyonce.

Chris and I miss making memories with both Ali & Andrew.
