One Minute a Day = $100,000 to Fight Childhood Cancer
Please set a recurring reminder on your calendar to vote for Ali each and every day between now and Nov. 29th. I’m sorry the voting period is so long, but your persistence in voting each day could be the difference in The B+ Foundation winning $100,000 from NASCAR to support our Family Assistance Program.
Please share the link below to Ali’s video to everyone you know. It gives a brief, but accurate, peek into the world of childhood cancers.
Here’s the voting link….please help us spread the word. You can vote once every 24 hours. Let’s get this video and voting link to go viral!!!

Featured Family of the Week
Do you want to know what we would do with the NASCAR money? We would help families like this one that we helped last Friday.
Mackenzie is a 12 year old girl who was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2003 at the age of 3. After seemingly ‘beating’ it, her cancer reappeared in 2006 and THEN AGAIN in 2010. Now, she has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and is currently receiving treatment multiple times each week. Unfortunately, Mackenzie also has a genetic syndrome that predisposes her to future cancers. It’s just keeps getting worse.
Mackenzie’s father died from cancer several years ago and she lives with her Mom, Step-Dad, and 3 year old sister. Because of the level of care that is required, Mackenzie’s Mom has had to stop working to be with her daughter. Hence, the financial pinch that the family is now feeling.
So, as you can see, childhood cancer results in significantly increased bills coupled with declining income to create stress and hardship on these good, hard-working families. Thanks to your support, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation was able to provide Mackenzie’s family with financial assistance.

Tyler M.
Within the last week, we have begun receiving memorial donations in honor of a 20 year old young man who died following a very brave battle with cancer. This young man, who lived on the other side of the country, was a lot like Andrew. He excelled on the field and in the classroom and I wish I had the privilege of meeting him. Tyler battled cancer for 15 months. Initially, I didn’t recognize his name and wondered how the family found out about us. I am always so deeply humbled and appreciative when families name The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation as the beneficiary of the memorial donations in honor of their loved ones. What an honor!
It turns out that Tyler’s family was one of the thousands of families that your Foundation has assisted through the B+ Family Assistance Program. We were there for them when they needed a little help. And, now they are here for us, raising money so that we can help other families like them. Paying it forward. Such a kind and generous gesture on the part of Tyler’s family.
May God bless Tyler’s family and give them strength at this tremendously difficult time.

Cool Event in Philly
ConKerr Cancer is a great organization from Wayne, PA that makes pillowcases for kids in the hospital. You might not be able to appreciate the value of this until your child lays his or her precious head on those stiff hospital pillowcases day after day. I’ll never forget when they gave one to Andrew when we were in the hospital.
Well, ConKerr Cancer is hosting a “Pillowcase Pajama Party” on Fri. Sept. 28th from 6-9pm at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. There will be guest appearances by characters, a parade, and a lot of other fun activities for kids. This event is open to all adults and kids. For more information or to order tickets, please visit:
