YOU Make the Difference!

Mo is a 13 year old boy who has been battling cancer since he was 9 months old.  Mo has been diagnosed with 3 different types of cancer - retinoblastoma, osteosarcoma, and most recently, sinus sarcoma, and it has now spread to his lungs.  Mo's Mom is a single parent who is unable to work right now because of his care needs.  When she was working, the family's annual household income was $35,000.  The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation paid $502.88 to the utility company to keep the power on for Mo and his family.

Amanda is an 11 year old girl who lives with her parents and two siblings.  Unfortunately, her Dad is very ill with kidney cancer.  Amanda was diagnosed with Burkitt's Lymphoma in April, 2018 and, while on chemo, she developed a brain tumor.  Following treatment for the brain tumor, it was determined that a third cancer had arisen.  Mom is struggling to keep everything afloat with two critically ill people in the house.  The family makes $15,876 annually and asked for help in paying down some of their $1,512.02 utility bill.  Thanks to you, we were able to pay nearly the entire bill.

Mariah is a 12 year old girl who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma earlier this year.  She is in the midst of her treatment protocol (chemotherapy).  Shockingly, Mariah's sister was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) several years ago and required limb amputation.  Mariah's Aunt is now the legal guardian for Mariah, her 14 year old sister, her 11 year old sister, as well as the Aunt's own 4 biological children.  Not surprisingly, things are very tight on their annual income of $22,000/year.  The newly-expanded family has been forced to find new housing to accommodate everyone and The B+ Foundation has stepped up to cover their first month's rent.

So, whether you are a recurring donor on our website, support us through a school event, buy B+ gear, include us in your estate planning, create a B+ event in your hometown, or many other great ways to help, YOU make it possible for us to help these families.  EVERY week, I sign approximately 75 checks.  These checks prevent eviction, buy potentially life-saving medicine, remove life-threatening moldy carpet from a home, repair the family car so that the child can get to the hospital for treatment, and so many other critical medical and living expense needs.  Perhaps most importantly, YOU give these families HOPE!  You show them that someone "out there" cares about them.  THANK YOU!

MAKE it a great weekend!  It's up to you.

Live Like Andrew.
