For those of you in the East, I hope you survived — and enjoyed — the snow.  It was really nice watching it come down.  Personally, I love the snow.  You can’t control it, so you might as well make the best of it.

Last week was a really amazing week for The B+ Foundation.  We raised a nice amount of money ($41,000) and received valuable publicity from the Phillies, Eagles, and Chase/Facebook.  Please understand, though, that we accept all of this generosity and recognition with the utmost humility.  These organizations are not honoring Chris, Ali, Andrew, and me… they are recognizing the collective effort of a ‘community’ of thousands of compassionate people all over the world who are members of the “B+ Nation”.  So much goodness has come out of something so terrible.

I would be lying, though, if I didn’t admit that I would much rather have my old life back.  I realize it’s a bit selfish, but I would much rather just be anonymous, boring old Joe, thinking about/planning for Ali’s & Andrew’s activities, and the wonderfully ‘routine’ things of being a husband and parent.  Andrew helped make me the person that I am, and I feel terribly lost without him here.  Life has never been the same…nor will it ever be.  I know this is the path that God has put us on… I just wish He could have used us in a different way.  But, I can’t change it…. it is what it is.

Thank you very much to Morgan Cottle of West Chester (PA) Henderson High School for organizing a fundraiser last Thursday in honor of Lynne Wallace and in support of the Henderson Ice Hockey team and The B+ Foundation.  Thank you all for your support.  It was so impressive how many items you had at the auction.

On Sun. Dec. 27th and Mon. Dec. 28th, we will be staffing a “B+ Table” at the Diamond State Classic girls high school basketball tournament at St. Elizabeth’s High School in Wilmington.  We’re looking for volunteers to take 2 hour shifts, so please contact me (joe@livelikeandrew.org) if you can help us out.  Thanks so much!
