Thank you all very much for the kind and encouraging words regarding my talk last night at Andrew’s Salesianum Soccer Banquet.  As I suspected, it was the most difficult talk that I’ve given.  This is Andrew’s school, his soccer program, his friends, his senior year.  All meant so much to my boy.

I got kind of emotional but I don’t apologize for that.  I feel good about the talk because I said what I wanted to say, I said what God and Andrew wanted me to say.  Somone on CB asked if I could re-print my ’speech’, but that’s not possible.  I never write a speech.  Before each talk, I pray and ask God and Andrew to use me as their instrument.  And, I’ve got to tell you, sometimes I’m surprised at what comes out.  Andrew was present and he’s definitely not forgotten.  Following my talk, two of Andrew’s friends (Shane & Dante) presented Chris and I (it was too sad for Ali to attend) with a watch.  Each senior soccer player receives a watch and the seniors insisted that Andrew receive one too.  The watch is beautiful and what it stands for is even more beautiful.  The watch has “Salesianum Soccer” on the face and “AJM #15″ engraved on the back.  I understand that the seniors all chipped in for Andrew’s watch.  It just takes my breath away.  I have a feeling that Ali will end up ’stealing’ the watch from Chris and I!  :)   To Coach Mosier, the seniors, and everyone associated with Sallies soccer, thank you very much for allowing the four of us to be a part of last night and the soccer program.  Last night was really, really special!

Thank you again, B+ Nation, for all your support.

God bless you all.

Live Like Andrew - HAVE FUN!
