I got a text from Ali today that broke my heart.  She was crying and texted to say that it was 30 months ago today (2 1/2 yrs) that our precious son and brother went to Heaven.  30 months!!!  It’s just hard to believe.  I can’t explain this, but in some ways, it seems like a month or two ago, but in other ways, it seems like 10 years since I’ve had an “Andrew hug”.  We’ve lived 900 and some days without Andrew physically here with us…and every one is difficult.  But, it also means that we’ve survived 900 and some days.  And, I know I couldn’t have survived this long without the love and support of Chris, Ali, family, and all of you.  I miss you, Andrew!

I don’t know how to transition from that, but we are very touched that the Salesianum Ice Hockey Team is organizing a fundraiser for our Foundation. 

Andrew’s school, Salesianum, and their arch-rival, St. Mark’s, have an ice hockey game coming up on January 28th and they have decided to make this a fundraiser.  The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation will be one of two charities that will benefit from their activities.  If you’re local, I hope you’ll come out and join us for some great hockey and to support two great causes.
