Thurs. Sept. 13th – Big News for B+ Foundation

NASCAR NAMES ALI MCDONOUGH ONE OF FOUR NATIONAL FINALISTS FOR BETTY JANE FRANCE HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

It is with great personal and Foundation pride that I share with you that NASCAR has named Ali one of 4 national finalists for their Betty Jane France Humanitarian of the Year Award.  Ali is recognized not only for her efforts with The B+ Foundation, but also numerous other childhood cancer-related philanthropic efforts.  Ali was Co-Exec. Director of UDance which raised $470,000, she volunteers as a grief counselor, she has volunteered at an oncology camp (Kay’s Kamp), and numerous other activities.  If you know Ali personally, you know that she doesn’t like attention.  Ali likes to do her good work below the radar.  But, I’m glad she’s getting this recognition because she truly deserves it.  NASCAR couldn’t have picked a better person.

And, there is a windfall for The B+ Foundation and our battle against childhood cancers.  This recognition will not only generate much needed awareness about these terrible diseases, but as a finalist, Ali will receive $25,000 to donate to the charity of her choice…The B+ Foundation.  This will help so many families.  Here’s the Press Release on the award:

One minute of your day, each day for the next 75 days or so, can mean the difference for a family battling childhood cancer.

Thank you very much and CONGRATULATIONS Ali!!!
