Please keep Ally Heintz’s family in your prayers. Ally, an amazingly brave 4 yr old girl from PA, was a neighbor of ours when we were in the A.I. DuPont PICU last year. Sadly, Ally passed away this past Monday. Ally inspired so many people at A.I., including us…as did her family. If you get a minute, please share some words of support for her family. Thank you.

Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the 2nd Annual Headstrong Lacrosse Classic in Ridley, PA. The Headstrong Foundation honors Nick Colleluori, a 21 yr old athlete, brother, son, and friend of many, who died at the age of 21 from Lymphoma. I had the honor of meeting Nick’s brother (Pat) a few weeks ago and it was truly an honor to meet Nick’s parents on Saturday. Nick provided some phenomenal weather for the day. If you would like to learn more about Headstrong, please visit:

Last night, I had the wonderful opportunity to return to my alma mater (Univ of Delaware) to speak to the Greek Council, a group of about 50 student leaders. We talked about Andrew, the B+ Foundation, and ways that we could partner to raise money for pediatric cancer research. They’re a great group of people and I’m very encouraged that we will be working together in this battle. As I told them, no matter how successful we are, it won’t bring my Andrew back, but you might just be saving your future child’s life. I’ll keep you posted on what transpires on this front.

~~~~~~~~
We uncovered another funny document of Andrew’s. It was a questionnaire that he filled out (with his Mom’s help :) when he was 3 years old. Over the next few Updates, I’ll share some of his answers.
Q. Strongest talent?
A. Making people laugh
Q. Favorite memory?
A. Being kissed by Minnie Mouse at Disney World
Q. Most embarassing moment?
A. Bumping into a pole after being kissed by Minnie Mouse. (That was SO funny.)
Q. Hero?
A. My big sister, Ali!
Live Like Andrew - cheer on the Phillies in the World Series!!! :) Andrew loved his Phils…he must be smiling!
God bless you and thank you for your support and for caring for ‘our kids’.
Ali’s & Andrew’s Dad
P.S. Congratulations to my brother, Tom, for running his first marathon on his 50th birthday (Sun.). He wore a shirt that honored Andrew, our Dad, and our brother-in-law, Dan.
