SO Much Going On!
B+ Heroes
This week was a slightly light week as we ONLY gave out $100,000 in financial assistance to families of kids with cancer. We paid bills for rent, auto repair, utilities, funerals, and many other critical expenses so that the families could focus on their precious children.
Noah
Thanks for showing this little guy and his family the “light at the end of the tunnel”.
Darian
Can you imagine having your power shut off while your child is fighting for his life? You’ve lifted this family up.
NYC Chapter
The NYC Chapter is a collection of young professionals; most of whom were involved with us on their college campuses years ago. The Chapter hosted their annual Cocktail Party in Brooklyn last Friday. As usual, it was a sold-out event with great raffles (I.e. Taylor Swift tickets) and everyone had a lot of fun. And, it was also a record-breaking night from a fundraising standpoint. Thanks to the NYC Chapter Board and everyone who made it possible. (I had the honor of being the oldest person there!!! :)
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ)
From young alums in Brooklyn on Friday night, I traveled south to Trenton, NJ on Saturday to be inspired by current students at TCNJ. I was so proud of the TCNJam students who really upped their game this year. It was a great day and they raised an impressive $71,264. Thanks for helping us serve our families.
APOSW
From Trenton on Saturday, I headed to Salt Lake City on Sunday for the annual conference of the Association of Pediatric Oncology Social Workers (APOSW). We are proud to be the largest sponsor of this group’s annual conference. The Social Workers are our critical partners in making our Family Assistance Program work so smoothly. It is truly a great partnership!
I hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend! Please keep our brave B+ Heroes and their families in your prayers.
