Mon. June 25th
The weather was perfect, we had a lot of B+ Heroes and Sibling Heroes present, there was a ton of free food (200 pizzas, 750 hot dogs, 200 Chick Fil-A sandwiches, hundreds of soft pretzels, cases of Frito-Lay snacks, and cases of water), nobody got hurt, and I think everyone had a really good time.
Mon. June 18th — B+ 5k POSTPONED TO MON. 6/25 DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT!!!
Out of concern for the safety of all of our runners, walkers, AND most especially our B+ Heroes fighting childhood cancers, we feel compelled to postpone this Thursday’s B+ 5k until next Monday, June 25th.
Sat. June 16th
For those of you who have followed our journey from the beginning, you will recall the time that we snuck Andrew out of the hospital one Sunday afternoon so that he could pet his dog, Casey.

Good-bye (for now) Katie Wilson! Katie Wilson started with The B+ Foundation in June, 2010 right out of college.
Fri. June 1st
Because of our loyal supporters, we are able to fund cutting edge childhood cancer research. This specific research that we co-funded with Solving Kids Cancer, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, may show promise.
Mon. May 28th
Thank you for the very kind messages of congratulations to Ali on her graduation from the University of Delaware on Saturday. While we are SO proud of Ali, it was still a bittersweet couple of days.

Every Friday, Katie Wilson and I review Family Assistance Program applications. Each week, we usually review somewhere around 30 applications.

The day started by surprising B+ Hero, Joey Farrell, with a police escorted race car ride from his school (St. Elizabeth’s HS) to A.I. duPont Hospital.

Last Tuesday, Ali and I attended the dedication ceremony of the Marian Memorial Garden at Salesianum School.
Mon. Apr. 30th
As if thousands of children battling cancer and many of them dying isn’t bad enough, there are people out there who are lying about their child having cancer to scam money from childhood cancer charities.
Sun. Apr. 22nd
Chris, Ali, and I had a lot of fun last Friday night at the Real Charitable Housewives of Delaware “80’s Mom Prom” benefiting The B+ Foundation.
Tues. Apr. 17th
Reminder – this Thurs. April 19th, we will be holding an Informational Meeting at the Christiana Hilton (100 Continental Drive, Newark) to discuss the new B+ Running Team and the Hamptons Marathon/Half Marathon in Sept.

Unlike last year, we had INCREDIBLE weather yesterday for the 2nd Annual B+ College Classic.

Continuing with UD news, the first steps have been taken for UDance 2013. I’m not kidding when I say that the students put 12 months of planning and hard work into this wildly successful event.

So you think you’ve got troubles in your life? You think ‘life’s not fair’? Look what B+ Hero, Karolena, did to her head when the chemo made her beautiful hair fall out.

This morning, another B+ Hero was buried. Rachel Gambrill passed away at the age of 9.
