Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer!

Last weekend, two high schools - one in Delaware and one at the Jersey Shore - held very successful B+ events!  Thank you, Hawks and Bengals, for caring so much about our kids.

- St. George's Technical High School (DE)

- Barnegat High School (NJ)

Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking at two elementary schools who have adopted The B+ Foundation and our fight against childhood cancer.  Both schools have very special meaning to me.  I'll never forget that St. John the Beloved basketball team gave Andrew their tournament trophy when he was in the hospital.  The SJB kids have always been great supporters of The B+ Foundation.  And, for the first time since my kids went to school there, I walked back into Lombardy Elementary School.  It was really neat going back into the school where my kids started.  We have a lot of great memories of the school.  Ali and Andrew attended Lombardy for three years and one year, respectively, before transferring over to St. Mary Magdalen School.

Please keep Braden Hofen in your prayers.  Braden is a brave young man who has been fighting cancer for a long time.  He is from Kansas City but being treated at CHOP in Philly.  Yesterday, his brother, Zack, donated bone marrow to him.  The post-bone marrow transplant time is a very anxious time for families as there can be rejection and infection.  Please keep the Hofens in your prayers.  Here's a picture of me and Ali visiting Braden at CHOP on Sunday.

Please also keep our good friend, Miranda, in your prayers.  Miranda is a very special young lady who is SO inspirational.  Miranda is home in PA right now with her family.

B+ 5k Run/Walk - Thurs. June 19th
