International Childhood Cancer Research Collaboration
When Chris, Ali, and I started The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, it was our steadfast desire - demand actually - that any researchers that we support must share the learnings from their work.
Research, Refunds, & Running!
While it is certainly much more complicated than discussing family assistance stories, I really get excited (and I hope you do as well) with the investments that we make in cutting-edge childhood cancer research.
Great Progress in 2019!
This B+ Hero's face says it all. We're making progress for our brave bosses - the innocent kids battling cancer. But, we're not done.
Happy Birthday Andrew!!!
September 3, 1992 was one of the happiest days of my life. Our family was complete with the birth of Andrew John McDonough in Montclair, NJ. He was an incredibly beautiful and very chubby baby.
Important Upcoming Events
Next Tuesday is my son's 27th birthday. B+ Nation will strive to raise #27kInADay in honor of Andrew's birthday!
Missing Our Boy!
Oh, how I miss my buddy! I don't know whether to say that on this day 12 years ago, "cancer stole my 14 year old son" or "Andrew went to Heaven".
Delaware Senate Passes HB 23!
Thanks to the efforts of former Charter School of Wilmington student Minnie Proud initiating a bill (HB 23) with Kim Williams State Representative, 19th District, I had the privilege of speaking to the Delaware General Assembly about childhood cancer, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, and my son, Andrew.
"Kids" of All Ages Making a Difference!
The New York City B+ Chapter of young professionals held their 5th Annual Gala on Saturday night. What an amazing night. Once again, it was SOLD OUT with 400 people in attendance.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
DIPG is a horrible type of brain cancer with virtually no chance of survival. It has not been as extensively studied as some other types of childhood cancer, but the landscape is changing.
1,000th Talk
When Andrew went to Heaven, Chris, Ali, and I started The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation to fight childhood cancer by funding research and helping families of kids with cancer pay their bills.
Rollercoaster
When we were in the hospital, we were warned that the ‘journey’ was going to be like a rollercoaster with many ups and downs. For the record, I really don’t like rollercoasters.
September is Here - Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month AND Andrew's birthday month. One week ago today was Andrew's 26th birthday. Its' SO bittersweet because we had 14 AMAZING birthdays with Andrew here and, sadly, the last 12 apart.
Fun for Our B+ Heroes
We've had some cool experiences to highlight for some of our B+ Heroes. On Saturday, August 18th, the DelVal BMW Club held their annual B+ Day at the Track at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, NJ.
Our Families Need Your Help!
In the past two weeks alone, I've signed over 150 checks to help families of a child with cancer avoid eviction, keep their car so that they can take their child to the hospital for chemo, purchase necessary medicine that insurance won't cover, keep the electricity on, and sadly, assist with funeral expenses so that families can send off their child in a timely and dignified manner.
Andrew...and More!
It's taken me 10 days to write this and I apologize for that. Ten days ago marked the 11th 'anniversary' of my son's passing. Kids just should NOT die! Under any circumstances.
From the 49th State to the 1st State
A year ago this week, The Today Show did a nice feature on The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and we were stunned when they presented us with a free cruise to Alaska!
Historic Childhood Cancer News!
Yesterday, the STAR Act, the most comprehensive piece of childhood cancer legislation ever introduced in the United States Congress, was signed into law! STAR stands for Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research.
Congratulations Dr. Ali McDonough!
My update today is not about childhood cancer per se, but about a young lady who has done a lot in the battle against childhood cancer - a Co-Founder of The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation - Ali McDonough.
Heartwarming Updates
I'm always humbled and appreciative of the wide array of support that we receive in our efforts to help families of kids with cancer and fund cutting-edge research.
