Hear directly from a 15-year-old about what he’s been through. It will make you think differently about your problems.
Where to Turn?
Thank you for the nice, encouraging comments about my last post about our investment in research.
B+ Research Grants Announced
While it warms my heart to read the letters from the B+ Hero Families that we assist, I have to admit that I get REALLY excited by the research that we help fund.
GIVING TUESDAY!
We cannot help these courageous and innocent kids without your help. Every school day, 46 kids are diagnosed with cancer…AND NOT ONE DID ANYTHING TO DESERVE IT!
Fight Night for Childhood Cancer
Thank you to the Sigma Chi fraternity at the University of Texas in Austin for including us, once again, as a charity beneficiary of “Fight Night”.
Don’t Forget the Research
Life can change so quickly! When Emmett started 1st grade last month, I’ll bet he and his family were dealing with all of the normal stresses of starting school.
Rain or Shine, the Fight Continues
The weather was MUCH more cooperative this year as we had a beautiful day and a lot of fun at our B+ Golf Outing. Thanks to all of our sponsors and guests, we grossed over $110,000!!!
Something for everyone
In this update, there’s a little bit of something for everyone from research to family stories to prevention to awareness. Thanks for taking the time to read.
Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
What a cute little guy! Don’t you just love those eyes? Please read Leif’s “About Me” page below. I think this ice cream sundae beats “pink medicine” any day.
Happy Belated Birthday Andrew!
A week ago was Andrew’s 31st birthday. We were blessed with 14 great ones with him, and we’ve had to suffer through 17 without him.
Hope & Encouragement
When we help a family, it’s SO much more than just paying a bill. As Cameron’s Mom writes, we have given her “hope and encouragement”.
It Takes a Village
A family of a child with cancer is NOT homeless BECAUSE OF YOU!!! Please read the nice note from Sebastian’s Mom.
August Already?
Thank you very much for all of the kind words and prayers as we observed the 16th anniversary of my son’s passing on July 14th.
HEARTBROKEN!
My son, Andrew John McDonough, died 16 years ago today at the age of 14! Childhood cancer stole him from us.
Weekend Inspiration
There’s nothing I can add to these beautiful thank-you notes from our B+ Hero families. I hope this inspires you to have a great weekend and make someone’s day a little nicer.
