September 3, 1992 was one of the happiest days of my life. Our family was complete with the birth of Andrew John McDonough in Montclair, NJ. He was an incredibly beautiful and very chubby baby.

Exciting Research Update!

Mo is a 13 year old boy who has been battling cancer since he was 9 months old. Mo has been diagnosed with 3 different types of cancer - retinoblastoma, osteosarcoma, and most recently, sinus sarcoma, and it has now spread to his lungs.

Changing the World in Andrew's Name
Well, July is just about over. And, as much as I like the summer, July is always a tough month for my family and me since July 14th is the anniversary of Andrew's passing. T

Missing Our Boy!
Oh, how I miss my buddy! I don't know whether to say that on this day 12 years ago, "cancer stole my 14 year old son" or "Andrew went to Heaven".

A Special Gift at the B+ 5k
The 13th Annual B+ 5k was a HUGE success last Wednesday night. The forecast did not look good, but we didn't have one drop of rain.

I ask for your prayers today for a really great young man named Troy Haynes. Troy is a senior in high school, 4 year starter as quarterback on his high school football team, 2-time state champion, and such a tremendously humble and respectful young man.

Delaware Senate Passes HB 23!
Thanks to the efforts of former Charter School of Wilmington student Minnie Proud initiating a bill (HB 23) with Kim Williams State Representative, 19th District, I had the privilege of speaking to the Delaware General Assembly about childhood cancer, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, and my son, Andrew.

"Kids" of All Ages Making a Difference!
The New York City B+ Chapter of young professionals held their 5th Annual Gala on Saturday night. What an amazing night. Once again, it was SOLD OUT with 400 people in attendance.

Research Update & B+ 5k
While most people like to hear the heartwarming family assistance stories that we are able to share - and for good reason - I get really geeked up about the research that The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation is funding as well.

Keeping Busy!
Twenty people got an early start to their day (5:30am race start!) as they represented The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation Running Team at Walt Disney World's Star Wars Rivals Run.

A Truly Memorable Week!
After spending 12 hours at Villanova on Saturday, we headed to The Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware on Sunday for UDance 2019!

DIPG is a horrible type of brain cancer with virtually no chance of survival. It has not been as extensively studied as some other types of childhood cancer, but the landscape is changing.

Man, There's a LOT Going On!!!
I want to keep you updated on the discussions stemming from President Trump’s State of the Union Address about increased funding for the fight against childhood cancer. As you may recall, he proposed an incremental $500MM over the next 10 years.
