When we were out in Arizona last week, we had the opportunity to tour one of the many hospitals that we work with, University Medical Center (UMC), in Tucson.
Thank you to the UD English Language Institute for inviting me to speak to your class. I hope you found my discussion about childhood cancer and The B+ Foundation worthwhile.
I find comfort in seeing all of the B+ shirts and stickers throughout our local community and appreciate the “Where’s Waldo?”-like aspect of B+ supporters sending us their pictures from their trips around the country and world.
It is with great sadness that I inform you that B+ Hero, Jordan Lawson, passed away early this morning following an extremely brave battle with cancer.
It’s sad, cute, funny, and a whole bunch of other emotions when I look back at some of the elementary school projects that Ali and Andrew did at St. Mary Magdalen.
My week was made today with a visit to the home of B+ Hero, Rina Goldberg. Ali & and a group from ADPi (Ali's sorority) joined me to visit this really special young lady.
A week ago tonight, Chris and I had the pleasure of attending something called “The 5th Quarter” at the United Methodist Church across the street from the Lampeter-Strasburg (LS) High School outside of Lancaster, PA.
This has nothing to do with childhood cancer tonight, but equally tragic. I was stunned to receive news tonight that a friend of Andrew’s from soccer was killed in a car accident today.
